So your child’s getting a little old for birthdays at the local fast food joint? Chicken nuggets for all just isn’t enough anymore? How about something a little more creative and fun without all the trans fats?

Children love costumes! Halloween comes only once per year. So, kids don’t get many opportunities for dressing up. Regardless of the age or gender of your child, a costume party could be the best solution for this year’s party.

If your child is a younger boy, you might consider farm animal costumes, Disney Cars costumes, or Thomas the Tank Engine. If your son is between 5 and 8, he may enjoy a super hero party, where all of his friends dress up as a different superhero.

For a younger girl, you might consider pet themes like puppies and kitties, or a princess costume party. For girls who are a little older, you might try a costume tea party or fairy costumes.

For children who are 9 and older, you may want to look into more personal interests. For example, your son may be a Star Wars enthusiast. You could order him a Luke Skywalker or Anakin costume and ask his friends to dress as different Star Wars characters.

Or, for an older girl, she may love Disney’s Tangled. She may love a Rapunzel costume while her friends could either come as other characters from the same film, or as princesses from other movies. If she loves Littlest Pet Shop, you might get her a veterinarian costume and ask her friends to come dressed as either vets or pets.

Birthday parties are much more fun if they are more personal and memorable. Kids will remember the most special birthdays, the one that was more than just grocery story plates and streamers. A personalized birthday costume party will be the perfect memory maker for your child.
